Coco Chanel is one of the famous fashion designers that contributed the most to the development of fashion. She was born on 19 August, 1883 and she is the only designer that was integrated on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. This amazing creator started to produce clothes in a period where women were still the partisans of the corseted silhouette. Furthermore, she had to face the post World War I era when due to the difficult times, people didn’t have the energy to pay attention to fashion. However, she managed to introduce a new casual and chic style that would free women from their conventional style.

Coco Chanel was known for her ambition and determination, as she managed to be a successful businesswoman in a time when men were the only ones who achieved this performance. However, due to her busy life she never managed to take care of her personal life, and the saddest thing is that the only person that stood besides her at the moment of her death in January, 1971 was her housekeeper. So, she didn’t have anyone close to her.
