The Fed Cup was founded as a way to celebrate the International Tennis Federation’ s 50th anniversary, so the competition for women’s national teams was created in 1963. Since that moment female tennis players from all over the world who were interested in developing a career in this field have tried their best to make their dreams come true.

There are many professional female tennis players that have achieved their goals to become some of the best players in the world. Due to the hard work that this sport requires, they have managed to achieve a high performance that has allowed them to make a living from this sport. Serena Jameka Williams is situated currently on the first position in women’s single tennis. The Women’s Tennis Association, which was founded in 1973, ranked her World No.1 in singles six times.

She first benefited of this title in 2002, July 8, and regained it in 2013, February 8, which made her the oldest world number one tennis player in WTA’ history. WTA is the main organization that governs the principal women competitions. It organizes the worldwide professional tours for female tennis players where everyone who has the required skills is given the chance to become one of the most important figures in sports.

Serena Jameka Williams is the only female player who won more than $50 million by practicing this sport. As we all know, there are four international tennis circuits that include Wimbledon, US Open, French Open, and Australian Open, and Williams is the reigning US Open, French Open, Olymic ladies singles champion and WTA Tour Championships. Winning the four tournaments in the same year is called the Grand Slam.

Li Na is a Chinese tennis player who is ranked World No. 2 by the WTA. She won two grand slam and seven WTA single titles. After winning her second grand slam at the 2014 Australian Open, she became
the only grand slam singles champion from an Asian country. Furthermore, she was ranked World No. 2 in singles on February 17, 2014.

Simona Halep is one of the professional female tennis players that dedicated her entire life to this sport. She achieved a career high singles ranking of World No. 7 after first entering into the world’s top 50 in 2012. She won six WTA titles in the same year, which means that she managed to improve her abilities in a very short period of time. Therefore she was named the WTA’s Most Improved Player.
