Photo size can be adjusted in many ways. However, the quality of a photo can be damaged if you don’t choose the right program to accomplish this task. So, things can be very easy if you pay attention to the right details.
The resolution of a picture can be modified according to the number of pixels. So, you can do the desired changes using the Windows program Paint. All you have to do is open the picture, click right on it and select the “open with paint” alternative from the list of options. Afterwards, you have to click the resize option from the menu bar. In the “resize and skew” box you will have to check the pixels section and introduce the new desired sizes.
Depending on your preferences you can choose to maintain the ratio’s aspect by checking the afferent box, or you can introduce different data in the horizontal and vertical field by leaving that specific box unchecked. The final step is to click the OK button and save the changes that you have made.
If you have the possibility to use the Photoshop program, you can start changing the dimensions of your image by opening the picture with that efficient tool. However, you must know that any attempt of increasing a photo size can result in a quality loss. The increased pixilation can affect the image in a negative way, so our advice is to use these programs only to make images smaller.
After you have opened the image you want to modify in Photoshop, you must click on the image option from the editing program and open the “image size tool” from the image menu. A new window will show you the actual size of the picture. Among other boxes you will see the Constrain Proportions box that helps you maintaining the proportions of the picture. So, if you want to keep the aspect ratio intact, you must check that box.
The Resample box bellow the Constrain Proportions box will add more pixels to maintain the picture’s quality. So, the next step is to select the percentage units from the dropdown menu, and increase the width and height of the picture by changing the percentage from 100% to 110%. The last thing you need to do is click the OK button, and you will see the changes. If you want bigger dimensions, you must repeat the same move until you obtain the optimum photo size.
